Grilled Pear Pecan Banana Split
(serves 8)

  • 1 jar The Prairie Gypsies Pear Pecan Jam (use remaining for pear pecan caramel sauce)

  • 4 Bananas, cut in half and split lengthwise, do not peel

Brush the open face of the bananas with the Pear Pecan Jam. Place open face down on a heated grill or grill pan for approximately 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat, remove bananas from skin and place two pieces in each serving bowl. Top with vanilla ice cream and pear pecan caramel sauce (recipe included).

This is optional, but what a delicious addition: 4 Bosc Pears, cut in quarters, core removed, do not peel. Brush the open faces with pear pecan jam and grill with the bananas. Depending on the ripeness of the pears, grill 1-2 minutes on each open face. Remove from pan and place two quarters in each serving bowl with the bananas.
